Prezioso Photography is a photographic agency, based in Australia, specialising in the coverage of sport for persons with a disability. Our primary focus is to help raise the profile of elite athletes with a disability.
Rob Prezioso is a talented and ambitious photographer who is passionate about capturing the moment. With over ten years of photography experience, Rob’s expertise has been gained through various fields of photography. Recently, Rob has specialised in the coverage of sport, news and entertainment.
Rob started his career as a freelance photographer, then followed his dream to become a photojournalist and joined a regional newspaper (Rural Press) where he completed his Cadetship. In 2003, he was awarded the Telstra Country Wide Award for "Best News Photograph" (Victoria & Tasmania).
Wanting to explore the world, Rob started his own business, based in Italy (Prezioso Photography Pty Ltd) focussing on elite athletes with a disability.
In 2004, Prezioso Photography was the official photographer of the Australian Paralympic Committee for the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games. The Australian National Maritime Museum displayed an exhibition of Rob's images taken during the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games from December 2004 - February 2005. The exhibition was titled 'Aquatic Paralympians 2004' and acknowledged the International Day of Persons with a Disability (3 December 2004).
Prezioso Photography then successfully became an official photo partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and was asked to be one of the IPC’s official photographers during the 2006 Torino Winter Paralympic Games, and will also be an official photo agency for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
Our vision is to see elite athletes with a disability receiving the same recognition as able bodied athletes.
